Every Thursday, The Cannon back room in Newport Pagnell plays host to a very special Open Mic night. With bean bags, incense and lava lamps galore; this cosy little venue feels like home from home. You can kick off your shoes, grab your favourite tipple, and just sit back. Over the last 12 months this event has become one of Newport Pagnell’s most popular events, showcasing some of the local areas best talent, and continues with a full audience every week. Organised and hosted by Jeff Sewell and Garry Murphy, this duo are not only talented performers themselves but never cease to pull in the crowd. The atmosphere is laid back – if you want to perform, simply stick your name down and wait for your introduction...Each performer normally gets a 3 song set depending on numbers, but every effort is made to make sure everyone gets their moment of fame. It does get busy so get there early to avoid disappoinment and to grab that beanbag!
